a long time ago notebooks were ltppoas with wrting abilitys, but now the name is obsolete, as all ltppoas now have writing capability. As for netbooks they are smaller then a laptop and uses cheaper energy efficient, yet slow processor. These are made manly for internet and office programs. Also netbooks are smaller then ltppoas, but often have better battery life. However some netbooks uses Linux OS instead of windows XP (although linux runs better on netbooks) and some use a solid state drive instead of a hard drive, which allows for better battery life and makes the laptop more durable, but as less space as sold state drives haven’t got to some capacity as hard drives for the same price. And netbooks do not have an optical drive built in.Personally if you just need office programs and internet use, you can get a netbook. You want to use it as entertainment and other things then get a laptop. Was this answer helpful?
